Dark pool share: Off-exchange volume was quiet at 0.3× its norm
Off-exchange prints never touch the public book, so they move size without moving the quote. That is the point of using them. Large players were quiet in this name that day. The share (15.8%) may look normal, but the absolute size behind it was thin.

What it means: Off-exchange volume for DBRG is quiet, at about 28% of its normal level, and its short share (45%) sits above its own norm (33%), which points to distribution rather than accumulation. Standing options positioning leans defensive, with more put than call positions, though the squeeze score is low.
News vs the money
DigitalBridge changes conversion rights for Series H preferred stock after its acquisition
This is a corporate housekeeping notice, and the money signals show more put positions than call positions with off-exchange activity below its usual level, so the two don't clearly conflict.
Business Wire · 10/07
Comparing DigitalBridge Group and Stellus Capital as finance companies
The comparison doesn't report anything new, and the money signals lean defensive with more puts than calls, so they don't contradict it.
Defense World · 10/06
DigitalBridge preferred stockholders should watch for delisting
The delisting warning is negative for holders, and the defensive put-heavy positioning fits that tone rather than conflicting with it.
Seeking Alpha · 10/03
DigitalBridge changes conversion rights for Series I preferred stock after its acquisition
This is the same kind of takeover-related notice as the Series H one, and the money signals are defensive without showing a clear opposing bet.

⚡ DIVERGENCEDigitalBridge stock hits a new 1-year high on Tuesday
The price rise to a 1-year high runs against the put-heavy, defensive options positioning and the elevated short share in off-exchange trading, so the signals diverge.

What is a “divergence”?
A divergence is when the news narrative and the institutional money flow point in opposite directions — a bearish headline while large call premium is bought, or heavy dark-pool selling under a bullish story. It signals the crowd and the desks may disagree.
How to read these numbers
Dark-pool volume — The share of trading executed off-exchange, at wholesalers and dark pools. About half of all US share volume prints there on an ordinary day, so the level by itself says almost nothing. What carries information is the distance from this name’s own recent norm, and whether the off-exchange size ran above its usual.
Off-exchange short share — How much of that off-exchange volume was sold short. The median across all listed names is about 49%, because wholesalers filling retail buy orders sell short and cover later. A reading near half is plumbing, not a bearish vote — compare it to the same name’s own 20-day norm.
Max pain — The price where the most options expire worthless — positioning often gravitates toward it near expiry.
Call wall / Put floor — Strikes with the heaviest call/put open interest — they often act as short-term resistance and support.
Put/Call ratio — Below ~0.7 leans bullish (more calls); above ~1 leans defensive (more puts).
